The vision is manifested and unfolded as we preach and teach the living Word of God to people of all ages, enriching their lives and helping them to experience God’s mighty promises and provision.
Our goal is to empower every person to understand and apply the Word to their daily lives so that their families will see Christ’s victory, blessings and lordship; promoting obedience to the faith; making wise disciples for Christ Jesus that will impact homes, communities, cities and nations to the glory of God! We promote unity in Christ at our non-denominational church.

Apostle Sidney Payton
Senior Pastor

Apostle Sidney Payton is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Glory Church International and President of Glory Church International Bible Training Center (GCIBTC). He is also Founder and President of Glory Covenant International Ministries (GCIM), where pastors and ministers worldwide can come into covenant, spiritual connection, and fellowship, to maximize the call of God upon their lives. He is in covenant RHEMA Ministerial Association International (RMAI), and RHEMA Alumni Association, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was a teenager.
With the fire call of God upon him and in him, he made the difference in the lives of his peers and others as he preached in the streets of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
He attended RHEMA Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, graduating in May 1987.
While a resident of Tulsa he was an active member of Grace Fellowship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, pastored by Reverend Bob Yandian. He served faithfully in this ministry until his relocation to Columbia, South Carolina in 1987.
He is licensed and ordained through Kenneth Hagin Ministries in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Apostle Payton is called and anointed of the Lord for such a time as this. He truly has a shepherd’s heart, and is a man of God making a difference not only in the city of Columbia, but also in many cities, states, and nations. He is a renowned international speaker. He has a strong anointing for healing. As he teaches and preaches the word of God with love, simplicity, and boldness, lives are transformed and increased as people see Jesus through the word he teaches by God.
According to Colossians 1:25-28, "I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness – the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ."
He is united in marriage to Barbara Roach. They are the proud parents of two sons. Their eldest son, James is married to Marquita. The younger of their two sons, Pastor Harris, is married to Minister Anna. The Payton’s have one grandson, James III and a set of twin granddaughters, Serenity and Destiny. They enjoy quality time with their family.

Rev. Dr. Barbara Payton

Dr. Barbara R. Payton is the Co-Pastor of Glory Church International, Columbia, SC. She is a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel. She received an Honorary Doctor of Ministry Degree from NPower Theologian Seminary. Her husband, Apostle Sidney L. Payton is the Senior Pastor of Glory Church International. They are in covenant with RMAI (RHEMA Ministerial Association International) in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Spirit of the Lord has anointed
Dr. Payton to preach the good news of the gospel to the meek, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. She has been called to minister at ladies' meetings and retreats, marriage seminars, women’s prisons, churches, and crusades. She is able to speak the word with power, authority, and boldness because she walks in that which she speaks, exemplifying holiness and integrity.
Dr. Barbara Payton ministers to the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of the people, under the prophetic anointing of God. During her services, salvation, healing, and deliverance is manifested. Dr. Payton believes, practices, and teaches the uncompromising word of God as led by the Holy Spirit. She has a strong anointing and carries the glory of God. She has ministered internationally in churches and soccer stadiums in Panama City, Panama, Vera Cruz, Chorillo, San Juaquin, Santa Cruz, Colón, Costa Rica, and Nassau, Bahamas, and throughout the United States. She is currently the Vice-President of the Glory Church International Bible Training Center, and Glory Covenant International Ministries.
Dr. Payton strongly believes Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” She has a heart and call to the nations for God’s people to receive God’s glory, manifested presence, riches, and God’s fullness imparted into the lives of his people.
She currently resides in Columbia, SC with her husband. They are the proud parents of two sons. Their eldest son, James is married to Marquita. Harris Smith
Associate Pastor
Pastor Harris Roach Smith graduated from Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina in May of 1999. He attended Midlands Technical College, Airport Campus where he worked toward a degree in business management. However, in 2004, his grandfather, who Pastor Harris is named after, became ill. Pastor Harris jumped to the aid of his parents and helped care for his grandfather after school. Shortly thereafter, Pastor Harris's heart was changed by the Holy Spirit to go into the medical profession. He has been in the medical field for approximately 20 years. Pastor Harris is presently serving as a CNA taking care of the elderly.
Pastor Harris served under many ministries within Glory Church International over the years. He is an associate pastor under the leadership and guidance of senior pastors, Apostle Sidney and Rev. Dr. Barbara Payton. Pastor Harris heads the Men of Glory Ministry. He facilitates powerful yearly conferences and monthly men's prayer meetings that help enrich men to the Word of God and encourage them to walk in the calling God has for them. In addition to sharing the pulpit for Sunday services, Pastor Harris serves as the senior youth pastor and teaches weekly Bible study. Pastor Harris passionately worships the Lord in song and helps usher in the Holy Spirit as a praise team member. He relentlessly serves wherever he is needed. Of note, he ministered God's Word in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, where many lives were changed for the glory of God.
Pastor Harris received an assignment from the Lord to preach God's kingdom. Pastor Harris teaches biblical principles that are applicable to everyday life circumstances. He encourages believers to live the abundant life that God intended. Pastor Harris is a humble servant who is relational to all people. His heart is to see God's people blessed. His favorite scripture is 1 Chronicles 4:10...God will bless me and enlarge my territory!

Pastor Harris is married to Minister Anna. In addition to serving together on Sunday mornings, they teach Wednesday night bible study live on Glory Church International Facebook page. They have a strong anointing for counseling couples to be wedded and ministering to married couples who strive to have spirit-filled, successful relationships. They also serve the community by officiating weddings, funerals, and speaking engagements. By the way of marriage, they share three adult children and three grandchildren.
